Class Description
 Wild Street is a heads-up class for any and all types of vehicles from 60's muscle cars & Pick-ups to late model Mustangs' and Camaros'. This class is limited mainly by a small Drag Radial Tire (275x60x15)  Frame rails both front and rear must retain stock configuration, ladder bars allowed but with a slight weight penalty. Just about any single power adder is allowed, including the use of a nitrous oxide systems, centrifugal or roots superchargers, and single & twin turbocharger combo's. This class will defiantly live up to it's name WILD!!!!!

Class Guidelines

BALLAST:
Permanently attached ballast may be added in a NHRA legal manner. Removable ballast for the
purpose of classification adjustments is limited to 100 lbs. in a NHRA weight box.

BODY

BODY:
The car must retain its original appearance and profiles. Aftermarket fiberglass parts are limited to hood, fenders, deck lid and bumpers, One piece front-ends are allowed, but must retain factory grill, head lights, and marker lights (no fake or airbrushed grilles allowed). Aftermarket wings and spoilers are permitted, but may not extend more then 14 inches from the transition point with the body to the tip. The driver and passenger doors must be fully operational and must open from the outside.

LETTERING / DECALS:
Car lettering & Decals are allowed on all windows (Except where PSCA Class & Series Decals are required) 1 major sponsor decal will be allowed on the rear quarter panel, decklid or door (Not to exceed 250sq Inches per side)  and Hood Scoop or Cowl area (Not to exceed 50sq Inches per side) Wild Street Class sponsor decal (Mickey Thompson Tires) must be placed in the lower passenger corner of the front windshield PSCA Series Sponsor decal (TBA) must be placed in the lower passenger corner of the front windshield.

FIREWALL:
Must retain factory unaltered firewall, in factory location. A cosmetic overlay is permitted.

HOOD / SCOOPS:
Cowl & forward facing hood scoops are allowed. Scoop or cowl may not exceed more than 9 inches at the highest point of the air inlet opening above the height of the original hood surface. 

INTERIOR:
All factory interior pieces including pedal assemblies must be in factory locations. Factory door panels, headliner, carpet, dashboard are required. Back seat may be deleted, but must have carpet covering the bare floor.

SEAT LOCATION:
Two front bucket seats, or one bench seat with upholstery required. Seats must remain in the
stock location.

WINDOWS:
Front Windshield and Rear Window may be lexan. All front door & 1/4 windows must be OEM Safety Glass must be fully operational.

BRACKET RACING AIDS
The use of bracket racing aids such as optical sensors, delay boxes,  and throttle
stops are prohibited

BRAKES
The braking system may be upgraded to discs or larger drums. All cars must have front and rear
brakes.

CHASSIS / SUSPENSION

FRONT SUSPENSION
Suspension components must all remain in stock locations. Direct bolt-on A-arms are
permitted. Tubular K-members that are a direct bolt on are permitted. Vehicle must retain factory
shock system (Struts or relocated shocks are permitted only if one of the approved front end kits listed below are installed with no modifications from the aftermarket specs..) Sway bars may be
removed. These Aftermarket Bolt-on Front Ends are legal; Chris Alston's No-Fab, TCI, AJE or Smith Racecraft Front Suspension kits for Chevy II, Early Camaro's & Nova's are legal. Since there are many new and improved kits on the market, Please call for prior approval of whatever kit you choose to run.

K-MEMBER
Aftermarket factory-replacement-type K-member permitted, but must attach to the chassis using only the original factory OEM-type mounting bolts. No part of the K-member may be welded to the chassis.

REAR SUSPENSION
Bolt on traction devices are permitted. Leaf springs may be relocated for tire clearance purposes. Mini tubs are permitted, no full size wheel tubs will be allowed. *Shocks must retain original side to side angle within (+/- 5-degrees) Which means if you move the Bottom mount inward 3", then you must move the Top mount inward 3" And keep the angle from left to right within 5-degrees from factory angle...If your Factory Shocks were set at a 15-degree angle, and yours are mounted straight up and down, you will receive the 50lb weight penalty. (If your car came factory with one shock in front and 1 behind the rear end, you may move them so there both on the same side of the rear end housing.) Ladder Bar Type Suspension with Factory Frame Rails will be legal, but will receive a 100lb weight penalty.
 
*Any car using rear Coil-Over Shocks that include Coil-Over Springs will receive the 100lb ladder bar weight penalty (If you already have the ladder bar weight add, there is no additional weight add for Coil-Over's)


FRAME & CHASSIS
Stock frame rails must be retained in stock locations (NO EXCEPTIONS) front and rear. Notching of rear frame rails for tire clearance is permitted. Sub frame connectors are permitted.  

DRIVE TRAIN

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS:
Any OEM automatic transmission permitted. Aftermarket torque converter, shift kit, valve body, shifter, and pan cooler use are permitted. Trans brakes are permitted.

MANUAL TRANSMISSION:
After-market clutch (single disc only) assisted manual transmissions are allowed (See Weight Penalty's)  Clutch/automatics or planetary transmissions are not allowed. Split sliders are also not allowed. All shifts must be made manually without the aid of electric, hydraulic or pneumatic devices.  Any manual transmission built by an automotive manufacturer, with stock case and gears will race at same weight as an automatic transmission entry.

REAR END:
Any factory type rear end is allowed. 

ELECTRICAL:
The battery may be relocated. 

ELECTRONICS:
Boost and Nitrous Controllers are permitted.  

ENGINE:
No cubic inch limits.

ENGINE BLOCK:
Aftermarket Cast Iron & Aluminum (Add 50 pounds "Aluminum blocks only") production blocks are allowed. Aluminum blocks permitted at no weight penalty only on vehicles that came factory equipped and using OEM power plant.

CAMSHAFT:
Any camshaft allowed

CARBURETOR / THROTTLE BODY:
Any single or dual carburetor or throttle body set-up is allowed

EFI:
Any EFI system is permitted

ENGINE MOUNT LOCATION:
Engine must remain in stock location. Engine may not touch the factory unaltered firewall. Motor plates are permitted.

HEADS:
Aftermarket cylinder heads, aluminum or cast iron are allowed (No Billet Heads Permitted), Aftermarket Spayed, Symmetrical or Canted Valve, Big Chief, or any "Pro Stock" style heads are permitted with a weight penalty. CFE "Pro King" & Edelbrock "Victor II" will also receive slight weight penalties.

INTAKE MANIFOLD:
Any cast iron or cast aluminum intake manifold is permitted.
Sheet metal or other composite manifolds permitted but at a weight penalty.              
EFI may use a Composite upper manifold at no weight add if lower cast manifold is used.

NITROUS:
Any nitrous combo is legal, but cannot be used with any other power adder.                                

SUPERCHARGER:
Any Roots (Up to 12.71) or Any Centrifugal (Except ATI ProCharger Model #'s F3R-131 & F3R-139 or Equivalent) that are within the following specs are legal:
MAX Inlet Hose Diameter 5.5"
MAX Inducer Diameter 4.84"
MAX Exducer Diameter 6.75"
MAX Outlet Hose Diameter 4"

TURBOCHARGER: 

 Accepted Single Turbochargers: 94mm Single Turbochargers are permitted on 
 V6 and Small Block V8 engines in accordance with the following 
 requirements: 1) Turbocharger must be of conventional impeller and 
 housing design and type. 2) Turbocharger is limited to a maximum size 
 of 3.701 inches (94mm) inducer diameter at the point where the leading 
 edge of the compressor wheel meets the inlet housing. 3) Compressor 
 cover inlet is permitted a maximum inlet diameter of 3.792 inches 
 (96.3178mm) 4) Compressor Wheel to housing clearance must maintain a 
 maximum 0.091 (2.3114mm) clearance beginning from a) the leading edge 
 of the compressor wheel where it meets the inlet of the compressor 
 housing, to b) the transition point where the trailing edge of the 
 compressor wheel meets the volute. 5) All air entering the 
 turbocharger must pass through the turbocharger inlet. 6) Injection of 
 any liquid, gas, or any other substance into the inlet or exhaust 
 housing prohibited. 7) Compressor wheel contour must be continuous 
 features from the inducer to the exducer (no "stepped" wheels).

Accepted Single Turbochargers: 98mm Single Turbochargers are permitted on 
 V6 and Small Block V8 engines in accordance with the following 
 requirements: 1) Turbocharger must be of conventional impeller and 
 housing design and type. 2) Turbocharger is limited to a maximum size 
 of 3.858 inches (98mm) inducer diameter at the point where the leading 
 edge of the compressor wheel meets the inlet housing. 3) Compressor 
 cover inlet is permitted a maximum inlet diameter of 3.949 inches 
 (100.3114mm) 4) Compressor Wheel to housing clearance must maintain a 
 maximum 0.091 (2.3114mm) clearance beginning from a) the leading edge 
 of the compressor wheel where it meets the inlet of the compressor 
 housing, to b) the transition point where the trailing edge of the 
 compressor wheel meets the volute. 5) All air entering the 
 turbocharger must pass through the turbocharger inlet. 6) Injection of 
 any liquid, gas, or any other substance into the inlet or exhaust 
 housing prohibited. 7) Compressor wheel contour must be continuous 
 features from the inducer to the exducer (no "stepped" wheels).

Accepted Twin Turbochargers: 67mm Twin Turbochargers are permitted on 
 V6 and Small Block V8 engines in accordance with the following 
 requirements: 1) Turbocharger must be of conventional impeller and 
 housing design and type. 2) Turbocharger is limited to a maximum size 
 of 2.637 inches (67mm) inducer diameter at the point where the leading 
 edge of the compressor wheel meets the inlet housing. 3) Compressor 
 cover inlet is permitted a maximum inlet diameter of 2.728 inches 
 (69.3114mm) 4) Compressor Wheel to housing clearance must maintain a 
 maximum 0.091 (2.3114mm) clearance beginning from a) the leading edge 
 of the compressor wheel where it meets the inlet of the compressor 
 housing, to b) the transition point where the trailing edge of the 
 compressor wheel meets the volute. 5) All air entering the 
 turbocharger must pass through the turbocharger inlet. 6) Injection of 
 any liquid, gas, or any other substance into the inlet or exhaust 
 housing prohibited. 7) Compressor wheel contour must be continuous 
 features from the inducer to the exducer (no "stepped" wheels).

EXHAUST:
Production type mufflers or collector mufflers are required. Modification or removal of muffler internals is prohibited (no gutting). 

FUEL / FUEL SYSTEMS:
The PSCA reserves the right to check fuel at any time. Gasoline is the only fuel permitted. Mechanical and Electric fuel pumps, fuel cells, pressure regulators, and any line size are allowed. No alcohol or fuel additives are allowed.

IGNITION:
No restrictions

OILING SYSTEM:
No Restrictions.  The front cross member may be altered for oil pan removal. Vacuum pumps are acceptable.

ON BOARD DIAGNOSTICS / DATA RECORDERS:
On board diagnostic computers and recorders are permitted. Memory and playback tachometers are allowed.

TRACTION CONTROL:
Not Permitted.

RADIATOR:
An automotive-type radiator is required.

STEERING:
Rack and Pinion allowed on all vehicles. 

STREET LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
All cars are required to have working headlights and tail lights (headlights doors must be fixed open or work manually or automatically on cars so equipped). Brake lights, turn signals are required.

TIRES:
Front tires must have a minimum tread width of 4.5 inches. Front tires do not have to be DOT
approved. Rear Tires... Any 275x60x15 Drag Radial Tire That Meet The Following "Tire and Rim Association" Specs: 
P275/60R15 Standard:
Diameter - 27.99"
Circumference - 88"
Section Width - 10.98"
As of today, the Hoosier 275/60R15 Part #17317 is not legal to use in PSCA Wild Street Competition.

Class Sponsor Decal 
M/T Tires decal must be installed on base of windshield on the passenger side. (Bottom left hand side when looking at front of vehicle windshield)
Series Sponsor Decal 
TBA decal must be installed on base of windshield on the drivers side. (Bottom right hand side when looking at front of vehicle windshield) 

Contingency Program & Contingency Decals:
  In order to become eligible for PSCA official contingency program, You must first become a member of the PSCA. You can do this at the PSCA Event Trailer during registration or on-line at the PSCA Store. In order to receive Contingency Monies from any of the listed Contingency Sponsors, you must have the correct product listed and matching Contingency Decal for that product on your car for the entire PSCA Racing Event... Racers will be checked for Products & Decals while be teched in and winners & runner-ups again will be checked in the Winner's Circle after the conclusion of each event. Winners & Runner-ups failing to show up for this mandatory Inspection will forfeit all Contingency Money that is owed!!!! All Contingency Decals may appear anywhere on the vehicle in a clear and organized fashion. Contingency decals may not be overlapped or modified. Most decals are available at the PSCA Event Trailer, but in the event the PSCA does not have the decals in stock, it is the racer's responsibility to obtain the proper decals to be eligible for the Contingency payout.

Penalties For Violating any PSCA Class Or Contingency Program Rules:
Penalties will vary for any PSCA Class & Contingency Program Rule violation's from Championship Point Deduction, Race Suspension, Probation and/or Re-instatement Fine (Paid to St Jude In the name of the PSCA) If you are in any violation that directly effects our "Electronics Policies" (Example: Use of a Delay Box, Use of a Throttle Stop, etc..) You can receive the Maximum Penalty (Disqualification from Event with loss of 50 Championship Points, Two-Race Suspension and a $500 Re-Instatement Donation) You will also be listed on a Web Page for all to view what violation and penalty any racer receives..


 
RACE DAY POLICY'S

Registering For The Class: 
All Wild Street Racers must register (Please bring your NHRA Track Tech Card with you) at the PSCA Event Trailer before taking your car to tech....

Scales:
After each qualifying and elimination pass, all Wild Street cars must stop and weigh at the track scales. If you lose in eliminations, and your opponent fails to make weight you will be reinstated into the eliminations only if you made minimum weight requirements. If both cars failed to make minimum weight, both cars will be disqualified. It is the driver's responsibility to verify with each track scale, the weight of his/her car prior to each race day. There will 5lb error factor allowed. 

Alternating Lanes During Qualifying:
Each Wild Street driver must alternate lanes during qualifying. Even if you skip a session, you must run the opposite lane you made your previous run in. If you choose to ignore this rule, your second consecutive pass in the same lane will be disqualified.

Entering into a 2nd Class:
During qualifying, any PSCA racer who purchases a 2nd NHRA Tech Card and pays entry into an additional class will be able to do so. However, once your Final Wild Street Qualifying Session is Completed, you are no longer able to make runs in that 2nd class... This also means NO RUNS in the Sunday Morning Bracket Time Trials Session.


Tow Back & Tow Vehicles:
Wild Street does not allow tow vehicles of any sort in the staging lanes. All Wild Street vehicles must drive to scales and return to pits without the aide of any other vehicle.

Burn-Out Procedure:
Wild Street does not allow burn-outs across the starting line. You must complete and stop your burn-out without crossing the starting line.

Bye-Runs:
All vehicles must take the tree, and run down the 1/4 mile.
