Class Description
Limited Street is a heads-up class for all types of vehicles from 60's muscle cars to late model
Mustangs and Camaros'. This class is limited to Small Blocks only. Suspension, both front and
rear must retain stock configuration. Legal power adders include the use of a nitrous oxide single
plate, centrifugal type superchargers, 80 mm or smaller turbocharger. All cars compete on a DOT
approved 28 x11.5 ET Street Tire.

Class Guidelines

BODY

BODY:
The car must retain its original appearance and profiles. Aftermarket fiberglass parts are limited to hoods, rear deck lids and front bumpers only. After market fiberglass wings and spoilers are permitted.

LETTERING / DECALS:
Car lettering & Decals are allowed on all windows (Except where PSCA Class & Series Decals are required) 1 major sponsor decal will be allowed on the rear quarter panel, decklid or door (Not to exceed 250sq Inches per side)  and Hood Scoop or Cowl area (Not to exceed 50sq Inches per side) Wild Street Class sponsor decal (K&N Filters) must be placed in the lower passenger corner of the front windshield PSCA Series Sponsor decal (TBA) must be placed in the lower passenger corner of the front windshield.. 

FIREWALL:
Must retain factory unaltered firewall, in factory location. A cosmetic overlay is permitted.

HOOD / SCOOPS:
Forward facing hood scoops are prohibited, unless factory equipped (Scoop can be no larger than what came stock on that year vehicle). Fiberglass replacement hoods (cowl) are permitted. Cowl hoods are limited to 5 inches in height.

INTERIOR:
All factory interior pieces must be in factory locations. Factory door panels, headliner, carpet,
dashboard are required. Back seat may be deleted, but must have carpet covering the bare floor.

SEAT LOCATION:
Two front bucket seats, or one bench seat with upholstery required. Seats must remain in the
stock location.

WINDOWS:
Must be of safety glass. No Lexan permitted. The only exception will be the rear window of an El
Camino or other truck for roll bar access. All front door windows must be fully operational.

BRACKET RACING AIDS
The use of any bracket racing aids such as optical sensors, delay boxes,  and throttle
stops are prohibited

BRAKES
The braking system may be upgraded to discs or larger drums. All cars must have front and rear
brakes.

CHASSIS / SUSPENSION

FRONT SUSPENSION
All cars must retain factory stock-type suspension. Front frame rails, radiator core support, and
inner fender sheet metal must remain in stock location (trimming for header clearance permitted). Aftermarket tubular control arms, coil over kits, or OEM front strut retrofits are permitted. But must be a direct bolt on, no welding modifications permitted. Aftermarket Racing Struts with spindle mounts or hub mounts designed for tube type front ends are prohibited. Stock wheelbase will be enforced on all vehicles. Aftermarket Rack & Pinion Steering is permitted on car that did not come factory equipped (But will carry a 50lb weight penalty)

K-MEMBER
Aftermarket factory-replacement-type K-member permitted, but must attach to the chassis using only the original factory OEM-type mounting bolts. No part of the K-member may be welded to the chassis.

REAR SUSPENSION
All cars must retain stock rear suspension. Bolt on traction devices are permitted. Sway bars may be deleted or added (This includes "weld in" ANTI-ROLL Bars) Leaf springs may be relocated for tire clearance purposes. Shocks must retain original angle as factory equipped.

FRAME & CHASSIS
Stock frame rails must be retained front and rear and be unaltered. Sub frame connectors are
permitted.

DRIVE TRAIN

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS:
Any 3 speed or overdrive automatic transmission is allowed. No 2 speed or Powerglides permitted. Aftermarket torque converter, shift kit, valve body, shifter, and pan cooler use are permitted. Trans brakes are not allowed & car will not pass tech if solenoid is attached to trans. No electric or air shifters permitted. All shifts must be made manually.

MANUAL TRANSMISSION:
Factory and Aftermarket manual transmissions are allowed. Clutch-less versions, Jerico, Liberty, or Lenco type transmissions are not permitted. All shifts must be made manually without the aid of electric or pneumatic devices. Also, clutch operation must be manual.
Please call if you plan on using a Manual trans!!

REAREND:
Any factory type rear end is allowed. 

ELECTRICAL:
The battery may be relocated. The charging system must be operative and the alternator must be
mounted in the engine compartment. Electric fans allowed.

ENGINE
Small blocks only. There is a 415ci limit. There are no restrictions on internal engine modifications Pontiac and Olds engines are legal under 415ci.

BLOCK:
Aftermarket cast iron production blocks are allowed. Aluminum blocks permitted only on vehicles
that came factory equipped.

CAMSHAFT:
Any Camshaft Permitted

CARBURETOR / THROTTLE BODY:
Carburetor limited to a single conventional 800 cfm(4150 type design). Carburetor is limited to
800cfm MAX. Carb modifications limited to removal of choke horn only. Polishing of ventures, fitting of the throttle shafts, metering and booster plate modification, aftermarket metering blocks, and changing of throttle plate diameter is strictly prohibited. Single carb spacers limited to 1 inch, including Nitrous Plate and Gaskets. No dominators type carbs allowed. Throttle body limited to a single 80 mm max. Duel throttle bodies legal if factory equipped however, they will be limited to a 80mm single mass air meter.

EFI:
(Electronic Fuel Injection) Factory fuel injection systems with the factory computer must be in use. Commercially available "plug-in" chips are OK. No DFI or aftermarket injection systems permitted, unless factory computer is functional. Laptops used in any manner (Tuning, Recording Data, etc...) in any EFI car is not permitted, with no EXCEPTIONS. With all the new aftermarket systems continuously being released, please call on any aftermarket system before you enter an event!!

ENGINE MOUNT LOCATION:
Engine must remain in stock location, and must retain factory style engine mounts NO MOTOR
PLATES ALLOWED 
Engine mounts may be solid. Engine may not touch the factory unaltered
firewall.

HEADS:
Aftermarket cylinder heads allowed, but must retain the factory valve angle within 2 degrees.
Porting allowed. Welding, epoxy, raised ports, and exotic modifications strictly prohibited. Please call if your heads are not listed here

INTAKE MANIFOLD:
Carburetor: commercially available, mass-produced cast aluminum single four barrel intakes are
permitted. No Dominator flange manifolds allowed. No sheet metal or other composite manifolds
permitted. EFI may use a Composite upper manifold if factory equipped.
            
NITROUS:
Nitrous is limited to a conventional single stage plate system, single fogger nozzle, (wet or dry) NX (Gemini Twin Stage 6) or SpeedTech's (Defuser PN# 231-000 & 231-010) . 
2 spray bars in the plenum are legal in lieu of nitrous plate, but call for prior approval.  Two solenoids for nitrous system MAX, one nitrous (MAX .125 Orifice), one gas and a third is permitted only for a purge system. Plate has to be commercially available using spray bars only (Cross Bar Plates are OK, but can only utilize 1 gas & 1 nitrous solenoid) System can only use one 10lb bottle, with a dash 6 line from bottle to nitrous solenoid. No progressive type controllers allowed.


SUPERCHARGER / TURBOCHARGER:
Single centrifugal supercharger (Super Chargers must be belt driven...) or single turbocharger are permitted. Supercharger inlet diameter (external): 4.00-inch maximum. Discharge diameter not to exceed (external) 3.00-inch maximum.  No Boost controller's permitted. Roots style up to 177c.i.d. Turbo size is limited to a single TRUE 80 mm (Look below for measuring Procedures)  . No Boost Controllers Permitted!! 

Accepted Single Turbochargers: 76mm Single Turbochargers are permitted on 
 V6 and Small Block V8 engines in accordance with the following 
 requirements: 1) Turbocharger must be of conventional impeller and 
 housing design and type. 2) Turbocharger is limited to a maximum size 
 of 2.99251 inches (76mm) inducer diameter at the point where the leading 
 edge of the compressor wheel meets the inlet housing. 3) Compressor 
 cover inlet is permitted a maximum inlet diameter of 3.08351 inches 
 (78.3214mm) 4) Compressor Wheel to housing clearance must maintain a 
 maximum 0.091 (2.3114mm) clearance beginning from a) the leading edge 
 of the compressor wheel where it meets the inlet of the compressor 
 housing, to b) the transition point where the trailing edge of the 
 compressor wheel meets the volute. 5) All air entering the 
 turbocharger must pass through the turbocharger inlet. 6) Injection of 
 any liquid, gas, or any other substance into the inlet or exhaust 
 housing prohibited. 7) Compressor wheel contour must be continuous 
 features from the inducer to the exducer (no "stepped" wheels).

Accepted Single Turbochargers: 80mm Single Turbochargers are permitted on 
 V6 and Small Block V8 engines in accordance with the following 
 requirements: 1) Turbocharger must be of conventional impeller and 
 housing design and type. 2) Turbocharger is limited to a maximum size 
 of 3.14960 inches (80mm) inducer diameter at the point where the leading 
 edge of the compressor wheel meets the inlet housing. 3) Compressor 
 cover inlet is permitted a maximum inlet diameter of 3.24060 inches 
 (82.3114mm) 4) Compressor Wheel to housing clearance must maintain a 
 maximum 0.091 (2.3114mm) clearance beginning from a) the leading edge 
 of the compressor wheel where it meets the inlet of the compressor 
 housing, to b) the transition point where the trailing edge of the 
 compressor wheel meets the volute. 5) All air entering the 
 turbocharger must pass through the turbocharger inlet. 6) Injection of 
 any liquid, gas, or any other substance into the inlet or exhaust 
 housing prohibited. 7) Compressor wheel contour must be continuous 
 features from the inducer to the exducer (no "stepped" wheels).

New superchargers will be evaluated as they are released, and must be submitted for approval by manufacturer to PSCA Director in writing.

EXHAUST
Production type mufflers are required. No collector inserts, or collector mufflers permitted. Modification or removal of muffler internals is prohibited (no gutting). Exhaust system must extend to rear axle of vehicle.

FUEL / FUEL SYSTEMS
Gasoline & Race Gas only (No Alcohol or Nitro) The PSCA reserves the right to check gasoline at any time during competition. The addition of chemical additives intended to alter the makeup of the gasoline for increased performance is strictly prohibited. During fuel check, a competitor must identify the brand of gasoline being used. The sample will be considered illegal if it does not match the baseline results (ex. color, dielectric reading +or-.2, and chemical tests) logged by PSCA. Failure to pass fuel check is grounds for disallowance of the run during competition and disqualification from the event during eliminations.

IGNITION
Programmable ignition systems permitted (example..MSD Digital-7 Programmable, PMS & Ford EPEC Systems) using a hand held programmer ONLY. At no time will a laptop be allowed in any Limited Street car. Crank triggers are not permitted. 2 step modules are allowed.

TRACTION CONTROL:
Not Permitted.

OILING SYSTEM
Dry sumps and external oiling systems are prohibited. The front cross member may be altered for
oil pan removal. Vacuum pumps are acceptable.

ON BOARD DIAGNOSTICS / DATA RECORDERS
Are permitted through the ignition system box (example..MSD Digital-7 Programmable)  At no time will a laptop be allowed in any Limited Street car. 

STREET LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
All cars are required to have working headlights and tail lights (headlights doors must be fixed open or work manually or automatically on cars so equipped). Brake lights, turn signals are required. Headlights may not be removed for air inlet!!

TIRES
Front tires must have a minimum tread width of 4.5 inches. Front tires do not have to be DOT
approved. Rear tires must be Mickey Thompson ET Streets 28 x 11.50 or smaller DOT tire. M/T ET Street Radials of any size are not allowed.

WHEEL BASE
Must retain stock wheel base with a maximum variation right to left and front to back of one inch.

WHEELIE BARS
Wheelie bars prohibited.

PSCA Required Decals:
Class Sponsor Decal 
K&N Filters Decal must be installed on base of windshield on the passenger side. (Bottom left hand side when looking at front of vehicle windshield)
Series Sponsor Decal 
TBA Decal must be installed on base of windshield on the drivers side. (Bottom right hand side when looking at front of vehicle windshield) 

Contingency Program & Contingency Decals:
 In order to become eligible for PSCA official contingency program, You must first become a member of the PSCA. You can do this at the PSCA Event Trailer during registration or on-line at the PSCA Store. All contingency decals may appear anywhere on the windows in a clear and organized fashion. Contingency decals may not be overlapped or modified. Most decals are available at the PSCA Event Trailer, but in the event the PSCA does not have the decals in stock, it is the racer's responsibility to obtain the proper decals to be eligible for the Contingency payout.

Penalties For Violating any PSCA Class or Contingency Rules:
 Penalties will vary for any PSCA Class or Contingency Rule violation's from Championship Point Deduction, Race Suspension, Probation and/or Re-instatement Fine (Paid to St Jude In the name of the PSCA) If you are in any violation that directly effects car performance (Example: Over CI, Illegal Power Adders, etc..) You can receive the Maximum Penalty (Disqualification from Event with loss of 50 Championship Points, Two-Race Suspension and a $500 Re-Instatement Donation) You will also be listed on a Web Page for all to view what violation and penalty any racer receives..


RACE DAY POLICY'S

Registering For The Class: 
All Limited Street Racers must register (Please bring your NHRA Track Tech Card with you) at the PSCA Event Trailer before taking your car to tech....

Scales:
After each qualifying and elimination pass, all cars must stop and weigh at the track scales. If you lose in eliminations, and your opponent fails to make weight you will be reinstated into the eliminations only if you made minimum weight requirements. If both cars failed to make minimum weight, both cars will be disqualified. It is the driver's responsibility to verify with each track scale, the weight of his/her car prior to each race day. There will 5lb error factor allowed. 

Alternating Lanes During Qualifying:
Each Limited Street driver must alternate lanes during qualifying. Even if you skip a session, you must run the opposite lane you made your previous run in. If you choose to ignore this rule, your second consecutive pass in the same lane will be disqualified.

Entering into a 2nd Class:
During qualifying, any PSCA racer who purchases a 2nd NHRA Tech Card and pays entry into an additional class will be able to do so. However, once your Final Limited Street Qualifying Session is Completed, you are no longer able to make runs in that 2nd class... This also means NO RUNS in the Sunday Morning Bracket Time Trials Session.

Tow Back & Tow Vehicles:
Limited Street does not allow tow vehicles of any sort in the staging lanes. All Wild Street vehicles must drive to scales and return to pits without the aide of any other vehicle.

Burn-Out Procedure:
Limited Street does not allow burn-outs across the starting line. You must complete and stop your burn-out without crossing the starting line.

BYE-RUNS:
All vehicles must take the tree, and run down the 1/4 mile.
